Meet the Designer
I’m Mathias, founder and designer behind Theora Homes.
My journey into interior design began with a background in visual storytelling, where I learned to observe people, understand emotions & recognise the small details that make an experience personal. That same perspective now shapes the way I approach homes—not simply as spaces to decorate, but as environments that should reflect and support the people living in them.
Through my experience working on residential projects, I have developed an approach grounded in thoughtful planning, practical design & open communication. I take the time to understand how each client lives, what matters to them & how their home needs to function before translating those needs into a cohesive design.
Theora Homes was founded on the belief that a well-designed home should not only look refined. It should feel natural, personal & unmistakably yours.

We had a good time meeting up with our designer, going over the points and what we were looking for our first BTO unit. With how the unit is structured, they made do with the space and the carpentry is excellent for what we need. They're quick to changes in regards to minor things and because this is our first time with renovation, they've been extremely helpful in guiding us on some of the points we don't know about.

I recently engaged Mathias to help transform my small, cluttered room, He did an excellent job transforming my cluttered room into an organized, sophisticated space. From the very beginning, the process was smooth and professional. I simply sent Mathias a video of what I had in mind — a rough idea of the look and function I was hoping for — and entrusted him with the design and execution.
Mathias has a clear eye for space planning and functionality. One of my top priorities was storage, and he cleverly integrated a full pull-out drawer system that makes use of every available inch without making the room feel cramped. He even incorporated storage within the staircase itself — a space-saving solution that adds both practicality and visual interest.
Another personal highlight was how he expanded by sleeping area to display and store my collection of soft toys — a detail that shows how he really listens to his clients’ needs and thoughtfully incorporates personal touches into the design. He also designed a discreet little hole that connects directly to my bedside, allowing for convenient cable access and a subtle connection to other parts of the room. It’s one of those small, clever features that make everyday life smoother.
The lighting design was equally impressive. Mathias didn’t just add lights — he strategically placed them to enhance the mood, function, and spaciousness of the room. The overall ambiance is now warm, bright, and inviting, and the lighting even makes the space feel larger than it is.
Despite the constraints of a small room, Mathias was able to make it feel open, airy, and extremely functional. His strengths lie not only in aesthetics but also in problem-solving and spatial intelligence. He approaches design with both creativity and practicality, ensuring the final outcome is not just beautiful, but liveable and tailored to your lifestyle.
